Formerly the Founding Director and Chief Financial Officer of a boutique asset management company with the SFC Type 9 license and AUM of US$1 billion.
From 2003 to 2008, Ms Chau served as Head of Regulatory Reporting for Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited.
Ms Chau managed the compliance reporting team and supervised the bank’s major financial risks with the Finance Department, Treasury department and Legal and Compliance department to ensure that the bank complies with the requirements of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).
Ms Chau was the main point of contact between the bank and regulators (including the HKMA and the Census and Statistics Department)
Before Standard Chartered Bank, Ms Chau joined Arthur Andersen Hong Kong in 1995.
In 2002, Ms Chau joined PricewaterhouseCoopers, providing consulting services on auditing, finance, risk management, performance improvement advisory, and M&A, IPO transactions for various financial institutions and corporates spread across Greater China.
Ms Chau has extensive experience in planning IPOs and was one of the key members of the Bank of China restructuring and H+A share listing projects.
Ms Chau earned the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) designation in 1998 and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) designation in 1999
