Presently, Bao Cai Yu occupies the position of President & Executive Director at China Petroleum & Chemical Corp.

He is also on the board of PetroChina Pipelines Co., Ltd. and Vice President for China Petrochemical Corp.

In the past he held the position of Chairman at SINOPEC Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd., President for Petrochina Daqing Petrochemical Co., President of Petrochina Lanzhou Petrochemical Co., Deputy General Manager at China National Petroleum Corp., General Manager for Lanzhou Petrochemical Co., General Manager for Daqing Petrochemical Co. and Vice President at Party Leadership Group.

Bao Cai Yu received an undergraduate degree from Tsinghua University and a graduate degree from Harbin Institute of Technology.
