Abel de la Rosa

Abel de la Rosa was the founder of Antios Therapeutics, Inc., founded in 2018, and served as Chairman from 2020 to 2023.
Dr. de la Rosa is currently an Independent Director at Dogwood Therapeutics, Inc. since 2020.
Former positions include Director at Celtaxsys, Inc. from 2012 to 2020, Independent Director at Virios Therapeutics, Inc., SVP-Business Development & Scientific Affairs at Pharmasset, Inc. from 2002 to 2012, Chief Scientific Officer at Drug Innovation Ventures At Emory LLC from 2012 to 2018, and Chief Scientific Officer at Emory Institute For Drug Development from 2012 to 2018.
Education includes a doctorate from Miami University and an undergraduate degree from the University of California San Diego.
Dr. De La Rosa earned a Fogarty Fellowship and an Intramural Research Training Award Fellowship from the National Institutes of Health, where he completed post-doctoral training in the Laboratory of Biochemistry and the Laboratory of Pathology of the National Cancer Institute.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from the University of California, San Diego, and a Ph.D.
in Microbiology from Miami University.
