Mr. Aleksandr Spencer, CFA, is a Chief Investment Officer at Bogart Wealth LLC.
He is a market strategist and oversees the firm’s investment assets and models.
He leads the portfolio research, construction, management, and trading functions.
Prior to joining Bogart Wealth, Mr. Spencer built a solid foundation in finance.
As an analyst for ProShares Advisors LLC, he managed mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETF’s) benchmarked to US Treasuries, Investment Grade and High Yield corporate bonds and Currency indices.
He then moved to the equity world, managing Nasdaq, Dow and Russell index based funds.
Finally, Mr. Spencer moved to more complex ETFs subject to S&P 500 volatility and managed futures mandates.
The funds he oversaw carried assets under management as high as $5.1 billion, taking positions in both cash securities and derivative instruments.
He also has been involved in ETF product development and counter party credit risk management.
