Prior to joining JER, Mr. Gilbert developed extensive real estate experience having worked on office development projects and running a division of Jones Lang LaSalle's New York Leasing and Management Group.
In addition, he was a real estate investment banker at Morgan Stanley and a principal investor through joint ventures with William E.
Simon and Sons in California.
Mr. Gilbert is a Founding Director of the US Air Force Academy Endowment, a member of the Urban Land Institute and an active member of the Saber Society of the United States Air Force Academy.
In addition, Mr. Gilbert served as a United States Air Force instructor pilot and Captain on active duty for five years.
Mr. Gilbert earned his B.S.
degree, with distinction, from the United States Air Force Academy and M.B.A.
degree from Harvard University.
