The firm was founded by Andrew Feldstein and Stephen Siderow in 2003 and formerly known as BlueMountain Capital Management LLC and as Assured Investment Management LLC. In 2023, Sound Point Capital Management LP acquired the firm from Assured Guaranty Ltd. (NYSE: AGO). SPL provides investment advisory services to pooled investment vehicles that operate as private investment funds and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs).

Parametric Portfolio Associates LLC (Parametric) is a SEC-registered investment advisor headquartered in Seattle, Washington. The firm was founded in 1987 and is directly owned by Eaton Vance Acquisitions LLC. They became ultimately owned by Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) in 2021. Parametric provides various portfolio management services and investment strategies directly to institutional investors and indirectly to individual investors through financial intermediaries.
