Franziska Holz

Dr. Franziska Holz is a Deputy Head of the Department of Energy, Transportation & Environment at The German Institute for Economic Research.
She is responsible for the resource and environmental markets.
Her research deals with markets for oil, coal, and natural gas.
Her focus is on the interaction of these markets with climate policies.
She is an Adjunct Professor at the Norwegian University of Technology in Trondheim in the Energy Transition Programme.
She was the Professor of Governance of Energy and Infrastructure at the Hertie School of Governance in the year 2015.
She studied Economics at Paris 1 University Panthéon-Sorbonne (1998-2003).
She obtained her Ph.D.
in economics in 2009 from TU Berlin.
