Hunt Capital Group prefers to invest in companies with headquarters in the Southwestern US. The firm considers investments in a range of growth industries. However, they tend to focus their activity upon higher growth industries including business services, industrial services, value-added distribution, healthcare, security, manufacturing and media & sports/entertainment. Investments range from $5 million to $25 million per transaction and generally take the form of preferred stock, convertible securities, common stock or LLC unit interests. Hunt Capital Group will make minority or majority investments. They serve on their portfolio companies' boards of directors but are not actively involved in the companies' day-to-day activities. Their targeted investment horizon is 3 to 5 years.
