Juan López Santamaría

Juan is a Partner and earliest investment team members at Kibo.
Having joined the firm at the inception of the first fund he has played a key role from the very beginning of the firm’s history.
He also acts as Managing Director at Nnzyme.
He has more than 15 years of experience in the world of technology and finance.
He has invested in a broad range of sectors, such as SaaS, Enterprise SW, Cybersecurity, Edge Computing, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence.
In the past, Juan worked as an Engineer and Project Manager at INDRA (public listed company providing tech solutions and consulting services to specific segments in transport, defense, digital transformation and information technology markets in Spain and Latin America with €3B+ revenues and 48k+ employees), as Programming Engineer at the Semiconductor Electronics Department and Research Assistant at the Center for Collaborative Adaptive Sensing of the Atmosphere, both within University of Massachusetts Amherst.
He holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Science as a Telecommunication Engineer at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, a Licenciatura as Ingeniero de Telecomunicaciones from Universidad Politécnica de Alcalá de Henares, and a Post-graduate degree in Corporate Finance from CUNEF – Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros -, Madrid.
