Khalid Ataullah

Mr. Khalid M.
Ataullah is a Senior Portfolio Manager of Credit Strategies at Plenisfer Investments SGR SpA. He joined Plenisfer in June 2023 and is currently based in Plenisfer’s London office.
He has over 25 years of experience, many of which were spent overseas, from Singapore to New York.
After starting his career in 1991 at KPMG in London, and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Mr. Ataullah joined the investment industry working first as a Trader, and then as a Portfolio Manager, at Salomon Brothers/Citigroup.
During his time there he founded and led the Latam Distressed debt team in New York and managed a portfolio for the Citigroup Special Situations Group.
In 2005 Mr. Ataullah moved to VR Capital, investing across asset classes, first in the Moscow office and later in Buenos Aires.
In 2007 he joined DA Capital, managing investments in emerging markets from London and Buenos Aires, while in 2010 he moved to Seatown, in Singapore, where he managed the Fixed Income portfolio of a $3 billion hedge fund.
He spent the last 11 years, working for DA Capital Asia, a global investment manager specializing in credit funds and special situations.
During this time, Mr. Ataullah spent 7 years in Singapore focused on global emerging markets and launched funds with a geographical focus on Brazil and Argentina.
