Kunyuan Song

Prior to Sycamore Ventures, Mr. Song has served several major SOEs with major engineering and management responsibilities.
He has been actively involved in environmentally related projects and business since 1993.
He was the founder and president of Biotreat, a company based in Shanghai by using its proprietary Bio-Chemical technology for waste water treatment.
Under his leadership, the company has achieved compound annual growth rate of 42% and demonstrated strong capability of water treatment, including the winning of the first-ever underground water facility to be built in the PRC the Beijing BOT project.
The company went public at the main board of Singapore Stock Exchange in 2004.
He continued to serve as the COO of Biotreat after its IPO.
Mr. Song also funded and served on the boards for China Tongtai Environmental Technology, Yanjiao Hecheng Environmental-Protection Material, and Shanghai Demeter Environmental Protection Equipment & Engineering Service, a manufacturer of dry sanitary toilet for train and buses.
He served as the chairman of FeiLo Equipment, a waste water equipment manufacturer in KunShan, Shanghai.
In 2000, Mr. Song founded Shanghai Torch Ecology Science & Technology and invented BMT (a Physical Chemistry based) chemical compounds to effectively treat the waste water in large scale.
The company received a major long term contract from Zhu Yuan Water Treatment Plant, the largest waste water treatment in China.
He received his BS engineering degree from Harbin University.
