Marisa Sweeney

Marisa Sweeney is a Vice President on the S2G Special Opportunities team.
Marisa joined S2G from Generate Capital where she spent seven years investing over $1 billion in sustainable infrastructure, across the solar, fuel cell, renewable natural gas, waste and water sectors.
Prior to Generate Capital, Marisa was on the strategy team at Onyx Renewable Partners, a Blackstone portfolio company, and focused on acquiring portfolios of distributed solar assets.
She started her career as an analyst at Goldman Sachs in New York.
In addition to her professional career, Marisa served as Co-President of Young Professionals in Energy SF Bay Area and currently serves as an advisor.
She is a member of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute 2019 cohort.
In 2021, Marisa co-founded Women in Climate Investing and Finance, which hosts events across 6+ cities to unite women working to combat climate change.
Marisa holds a B.S.
in Management with a concentration in Finance and a B.A.
in Politics, Philosophy, and Law from Binghamton University.
Originally from Long Island, NY, Marisa now lives in Oakland, CA, and enjoys hosting gatherings, exploring thrift and consignment shops, and hiking across the Bay Area with her dog, Georgia.
