He worked as a Graduate school student director, Genome Program, Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research in 1999 & from 2001 to 2002.
He also worked as a Researcher, Royal Academy of Sciences (KVA), Sweden; Honorary Principal Investigator at Pasteur Institute of Montevideo, Uruguay and an Esther Z.
Greenberg Scholar at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
He received Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, México, award for doctoral studies abroad in 1984.
He is elected as a Professor in Genetic Epidemiology of Inflammatory Diseases for a period of 2009 to 2011.
