Ray Wallace

Mr. Raymond J.
Wallace, CFA, is a Fixed Income Strategist at Taquanta Asset Managers Pty Ltd.
Mr. Wallace is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to the investment team.
He has direct experience in managing fixed income as well as absolute return funds.
Mr. Wallace joined BDO Spencer Steward in 1984 as an articled clerk.
He worked at Altron and then Standard Bank in various positions including financial accounting of the Bank’s Africa Banking Operations and Market Risk Manager in SCMB Treasury In October 1996.
He joined Syfrets Limited as a Market Risk Manager responsible for asset management, treasury operations and related derivative positions, as well as risk management of the retail structured product business.
In 1999, Mr. Wallace joined the NIB Quants team with responsibility for developing and managing institutional and retail absolute return strategies.
In May 2003, he was seconded to the Nedbank London office to facilitate the further development of Treasury Asset Management’s alternative investment business.
Mr. Wallace completed a BCompt degree at the University of South Africa, He also obtained his BCompt Hons from UNISA in 1995 and was awarded a CFA Charter in 2000 and is registered with the FSB as a Portfolio Manager.
