Steven I. Bandel

Steven is a member of Carao Ventures’ Board of Directors.
He also serves as vice chairman of the Global Advisory Board of Babson College, member of the International Advisory Board of Baptist Health South Florida, the Board of Directors of Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA), the Latin America CEO Network, and the President’s Leadership Council of Stevens Institute of Technology.
Over the last 30 years, he also served on multiple corporate boards including the board of directors of Brightstar, Claxson, Directv Latin America, AOL Latin America, as well as different boards and councils at University of Miami, Florida International University, and United Way of Miami.
Steven was the co-Chairman and the CEO of the Cisneros Group, one of the largest private companies operating in the media, entertainment, telecommunications, and consumer products industries in Latin America.
He worked in the Cisneros Group for 32 years where he also served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer and as the President of Multimarket, the company’s investment banking arm.
Steven earned his MBA with distinction from the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA) in Venezuela and is an honor graduate in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from the Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.
