Mr. Timothy F.
Madey is a Portfolio Manager at White Pine Capital LLC.
He serves as an Analyst at the firm.
He is a Senior Vice President and a member of the Investment Committee.
He has significant experience in constructing risk managed portfolios for individuals and institutions.
Prior to joining White Pine in January 2013, Mr. Madey co-founded Primary Funds, LLC in 2002.
For a decade, he managed the firm’s low volatility, long and short equity portfolios which included sub-advising for the Van Eck Global Multi-Manager Alternatives Fund.
His responsibilities at Primary Funds included portfolio management, security analysis, risk management, and overseeing the operations of the firm.
He was a Managing Director of institutional equity research sales at Robertson Stephens & Company, San Francisco, California from 1999 to 2002.
He held various leadership roles with securities firms from 1993 to 1999.
He was a Principal with Volpe Brown Whelan, and at Genesis Merchant Group Securities he served as an institutional broker and associate securities analyst.
He began his securities career as an intern on the Chase Manhattan Bank government bond desk in 1992.
Mr. Madey earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Loyola College, Baltimore, Maryland in 1984 and he earned an MBA from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York in 1993 focusing on Finance and Accounting.
