Mr. Trevor McHaney, CFA, is a Chief Executive Officer & Chief Portfolio Strategist at Vestcap Investment Management, Inc. He set the firm’s overall investment strategy and help portfolio managers develop tailored solutions that meet clients’ needs and expectations.
Early in his career, Mr. McHaney worked as a teller and personal banker for one of Canada’s big banks before joining HSBC’s alternative fund services division.
While with HSBC he gained significant international experience as a technology superuser in Bermuda and India and was an AVP on the bank’s £20 million global “big data” initiative.
After returning to Canada, Mr. McHaney took senior investment positions with two of Canada’s premier institutional investment management providers before launching his own private client wealth management platform, which he eventually sold to a local hedge fund manager and successfully exited in 2018.
He received his undergraduate degree from The Schulich School of Business.
