Matthews is the founder of Marjad, Inc. (founded in 1995) and serves as President.
He is currently the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Helptrain, Inc. and a Trustee of the Toronto Symphony Foundation.

Mr. Matthews received his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto in 1958 and his graduate degree and MBA from the London School of Economics & Political Science in 1964 and 1963 respectively.
