The firm was founded as China International Fund Management Co., Ltd. in 2004 through a joint venture between Shanghai International Trust Co., Ltd. and JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Ltd. In 2023, they became a subsidiary of JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Ltd., which is ultimately owned by JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM) in the US. (FTS) is an independent Chinese fund management firm which was established as a joint venture between Templeton International, Inc. and Sealand Securities Co. in 2004.
