Christopher Heller

Chris Heller is a Co-Managing Partner at Cordillera Investment Partners.
Prior to founding Cordillera, Chris was a Partner at Makena Capital Management where he served as the Portfolio Manager responsible for two liquid endowment funds that invest across multiple asset classes including hedge funds, real estate, natural resources, equities and fixed income.
In addition, Chris was a senior member of Makena’s Absolute Return investment team, where he focused on hedge fund investments across numerous strategies, including distressed credit, hedged equity, structured credit, specialty finance, macro and reinsurance.
He was also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.
Prior to the formation of Makena, Chris worked at the Stanford Management Company, where he focused on portfolio management and risk analysis as well as public equity investing.
Prior to Stanford Management Company, Chris worked at Merrill Lynch in the Technology Investment Banking group in Palo Alto and in the Debt Capital Markets group in New York.
Chris earned a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
