Eric Marcombes

Mr. Eric Marcombes is Chief Executive Officer at Cogitam SA. He has worked for over 25 years on the financial markets: ALM of the group Compagnie bancaire, derivatives broker, options market maker, arbitrage, proprietary trading for a bank, head of a team of traders, CIO, and CEO of asset management firms.
In 1987, he participated in the creation of the first standardized options market on equity index by mutual agreement.
He has been a pioneer in entirely computerized market transactions: program trading of arbitrage cash/futures on CAC 40 in 1990.
During his career he has contributed in many ways to the modernization of the Place de Paris, including CAC 40 index, managed funds rules treating options, and improvements of the allocation methodology used as reference for options expiration.
He has a scientific background with two degrees in engineering from the best French schools (University of Paris X Nanterre and Ecole des Mines), complemented with a masters in Finance.
