Ishwar Lal

Ishwar Lal joined AvalonBay Communities, Inc. in 2007 to head Strategic Sourcing/Procurement, Design and Estimating functions.
Currently, he is Vice President-Business Support Services for AvalonBay.
Previously, Mr. Lal held leadership roles at Sears Holdings Corp., Liberty Financial Cos., Inc., Optima Healthcare Corp.
and Digital Equipment Corp.
He received an MBA in International Management from Boston University and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Massachusetts.
Mr. Lal is a registered Professional Engineer and maintains professional affiliations with Corporate Real Estate Network, Institute of Supply Management and Procurement Strategy Council of the Executive Board.
