Joan T. Merrill

Dr. Merrill Joined OMRF Scientific Staff in 2001.
She is a Member and Program Chair at Clinical Pharmacology Research Program, a Professor for Department of Medicine at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a Adjunct Associate Professor for Department of Medicine at New York University.
She is also a Medical Director at Lupus Foundation of America since 2004.
Dr. Merrill was a Medical and Scientific Committee at National Arthritis Foundation from 2000 to 2003, a Research Committee and Clinical Research Subcommittee member at American College of Rheumatology from 2002 to 2004, a Chair, APLS Abst Subcommittee member at American College of Rheumatology Meeting from 1999 to 2002, a Planning Committee member at American College of Rheumatology Meeting from 1999 to 2002, an American College of Rheumatology Sponsored Programs Committee member from 2001 to 2004 and a Vice-Chair, Medical and Scientific Committee member at N.Y.

Dr. Merrill received a B.A. from Vassar College at Poughkeepsie in 1972 and a M.D.
from Cornell University Medical College at New York in 1985.In 2000, Dr. Merrill received a Edmund Dubois Award from American College of Rheumatology and 2006 Ira Goldstein Award and Lectureship from New York University Advance Course in Rheumatology.
