Kelvin Yao

KELVIN YAO, Managing Director Mr. Yao joined J.W.
Childs in 2005 and is based in the Hong Kong office.
In addition to his role as Senior Vice President of China Operations for Esselte, Mr. Yao is working with the Firm’s portfolio companies on manufacturing and sourcing initiatives in Asia.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Yao worked at The Wiremold Company from 1995 to 2005.
He was the Founder and CEO of Rototech Group, an innovative manufacturer of surge protectors, from 1982 to 1995, a company he ultimately sold to Wiremold.
Before this, Mr. Yao held senior positions in the Asian operations of Conair Corporation.
Mr. Yao received a B.S.
from National Cheng Kung University and a M.B.A.
from National University of Singapore.
In addition, he has completed extensive kaizen training at Shijizushi Institution and has eleven years of experience with Lean Management in South China with the Wiremold Company
