Founded in 1935, The OPERS Board of Trustees – the governing body of the system – is responsible for the administration and management of OPERS. They provide retirement, disability, and survivor benefit programs for Ohio’s active and retired public workers and their families throughout the state who are not covered by another state or local retirement system.

Cincinnati Retirement System (CRS) is a state-owned pension fund manager headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The firm was founded in 1931 as a defined benefit System and provides for both monthly pension benefits and medical benefits to qualified retirees, survivors of retirees, and disabled retirees of the City as well as retired members from closed groups (University Hospital, University of Cincinnati, and Hamilton County). It pre-dates Social Security and the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System. CRS is funded by both employee and employer contributions.

Minnesota State Board of Investment (SBI) is a state-owned pension fund manager headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota. The firm was founded in 1885 to manage assets for the State of Minnesota. SBI is also responsible for the assets of the three Statewide Retirement Systems, various defined contribution plans, non-retirement accounts, and tax-advantaged savings plans.
