Lumi Mustapha

Lumi is Founders Factory's Head of Legal.
He is a commercial attorney (qualified in both the UK and Nigeria), business analyst and strategy advisor.
Though he has significant experience in general legal practice (including litigation), he primarily specialises in technology, media and entertainment - areas in which he has amassed almost 20 years of experience both in the UK and across Africa.
As a founding partner of one of Nigeria’s leading boutique media/entertainment/technology law firms, Lumi has advised and represented high profile players in these spaces globally.
He is also an advisory board member for a number of high-growth technology-enabled businesses.
Lumi was recently also the Special Assistant on Legal Matters to a Nigerian State Governor – where he worked with State’s Attorney-General/Ministry of Justice (and the State Bureau of Information Technology) on a variety of legal, intellectual property and technology-related policies, laws, and private sector partnerships for the development of sectors related to these areas in the State.
His primary objective is to help increase the value and volume of early stage investments to African tech-enabled startups; to spur/fuel the socioeconomic development of the continent.
