Mr. Martin M.
Heffernan is a Director at Thompson Taraz Depositary Ltd. He is on the Board of Directors at Thompson Taraz Group Plc and Thompson Taraz Managers Ltd. He has been a director since incorporation of the Thompson Taraz regulated companies and has built up extensive experience of acting on Real Estate funds with assets across Europe.
More recently he has been engaged on a number of funds in other sectors including EIS and SEIS funds in the venture finance sector.
He works closely with specialist legal, compliance and tax teams to ensure that funds are set up to meet their investment objectives, and comply with the UK and EU legislation by which they are governed.
His other fund related activities are in trustee roles, providing custodian services and corporate governance.
He also represents the group in technical industry forums.
He joined the firm in 2001.
Prior to Thompson Taraz Depositary Ltd, Mr. Heffernan has worked in Baker Tilly where his main focus was providing business and tax advice and support on transactions and projects for a wide range of owner-managed businesses, as well as being responsible for clients compliance and assurance needs.
