Paul Scott

Mr. Paul Scott is a Chief Investment Officer at Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Co. B.S.C.
He joined the firm in April 2018.
With a successful track record of building, repositioning and successfully growing scale business units in the investment arena, he is responsible for implementing and executing Mumtalakat’s investment strategy and ensuring the long-term growth of its portfolio of assets.
He is a seasoned investment professional and business leader.
He has a wealth of experience in origination and relationship management, credit analysis, valuation analysis, deal structuring and execution, leading due diligence, portfolio management, corporate finance and capital markets.
He has led over 60 M&A transactions, across a range of sectors on an international basis encompassing financial products through the capital structure from senior debt to private equity and structured products in liquid and illiquid asset classes across primary and secondary markets.
Paul has been an active voting member of investment and capital markets committees over the years, with functional experience across business development, deal underwriting and execution, portfolio management, risk, capital markets, and has Executive Committee and Board level experience.
Previously, Mr. Scott was employed as a Chief Investment Officer by GE Capital Europe Ltd, and worked with market leading organisations including Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Barclays where he delivered significant performance improvement through GDP and market cycles.
He holds a BSc in Business and Management Studies from University of Salford.
