Rachel Teo

Ms. Rachel Teo is a Head of Total Portfolio Sustainable Investing at GIC Pte Ltd. She is also a Head of Sustainability.
She is also a member of the Sustainability Committee in GIC.
As Head of Total Portfolio Sustainable Investing, she works closely with GIC’s Client, Board, and internal stakeholders to conduct thought leadership research to deepen understanding of and build strong conviction for long-term sustainable investing.
As Head of Sustainability, she works with the Sustainability Committee to drive the integration of sustainability considerations across the investment organization including in top-down and bottom-up investment strategies, corporate processes, reporting and communications.
She joined GIC in 2005 and before heading the Total Portfolio Sustainable Investing and Sustainability teams in 2022, her role was in long-term thematic research, global macro research and investment strategy.
Prior to joining GIC, she was with the Monetary Authority of Singapore working in economics research as well monetary management roles.
She graduated with a 1st class honours in Economics from the National University of Singapore and a Masters in International Politics and East Asia from the University of Warwick in the UK.
