Robert E. Kahn

Robert E.
Kahn is the founder of Internet Society, founded in 1992, and Corporation for National Research Initiatives, founded in 1986.
At Corporation for National Research Initiatives, he holds the title of Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer starting in 2010.
Currently, Dr. Kahn is a Member at National Academy of Engineering.
In the past, he worked as an Independent Director at QUALCOMM, Inc. from 1997 to 2013.
He also served as the Director-Information Processing Techniques Office at US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency in 1985.
Prior to that, he was a Senior Scientist at Bolt Beranek & Newman, Inc. in 1972.
Dr. Kahn has also held positions at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Bell Laboratories.
He was a Member of the President's Information Technology Advisory Committee.
Dr. Kahn completed his undergraduate degree at City University of New York in 1960.
He then earned his graduate degree from Princeton University in 1962 and his doctorate degree from Princeton University in 1964.
