Previously, he held the position of Co-Chief Executive Officer at First Eagle Alternative Credit SLS LLC from 2007 to 2017.
He also served as a Director at Falcon Financial Group LLC.
From 2014 to 2017, he was the Director, Co-Chief Executive & Investment Officer at THL Credit Lakeshore, Inc. and Co-Chief Executive & Investment Officer at First Eagle Alternative Capital BDC, Inc. He was also Co-Chief Executive & Investment Officer at First Eagle Alternative Credit LLC.
Prior to that, he worked as a Principal at AIG SunAmerica, Inc., Co-President & Chief Risk Officer at THL Credit Group LP, and Executive Vice President at American General Investment Management LP.
From 1994 to 2001, he held the position of Executive Vice President at SunAmerica Corporate Finance.
He also served as the Chief Executive & Investment Officer at The Tennessee Center For Research & Development.
Mr. Tillinghast holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, which he received in 1988.
He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of South Alabama in 1985.
