Mr. Terry Collison is Co-Founder & Partner at Blue Rock Capital.
Prior to forming Blue Rock Capital, Mr. Collison served as a venture advisor to private investors and venture funds, to Pennsylvania¹s Ben Franklin Partnership and other early-stage funds and private investors in the Mid-Atlantic region.
He is past President of the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Collison was part of new venture teams at General Electric and Ford Motor Company (through a joint technology venture with MTI of Latham, NY).
Mr. Collison lectures at the college and university level and previously served on the faculty of the State University of New York at Buffalo.
He has appeared as a featured speaker at conferences sponsored by inc.
MAGAZINE, the National Business Incubation Association, the Licensing Executives Society, the Association of University Technology Managers, and other organizations.
Mr. Collison received his Master's degree in Planning with High Honors from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his B.A. cum laude from Williams College (Phi Beta Kappa).

The firm seeks to fund companies with strong management teams, significant US or international markets and compelling business models based on proprietary technology, products or services and specialized distribution. The Blue Rock Capital Fund invests in early-stage private companies with high-growth potential that are located in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US. The Fund focuses on investments in information technology and service businesses. Within the information technology sector, they invest in the software, Internet, telecommunications and semiconductors industries. The Fund does not invest in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, real estate or consumer products. Blue Rock looks for companies with strong management teams that operate in high-growth markets. The Fund holds a balanced portfolio that focuses on early-stage companies, with investments in seed-stage and mid-stage companies as well. They look for seed-stage companies that have a promising technology or business opportunity, but have little or no revenue and may not yet have a complete management team. Blue Rock looks for early-stage companies that have demonstrated proof of concept, have core management in place and have limited revenue. The Fund's mid-stage investments are made in companies that have meaningful customers, a complete management team and revenues of $2 million to $3 million. Initial investments range from $250,000 to $2 million. The Fund takes minority positions in their portfolio companies and serves on their portfolio companies' boards of directors. Their investment horizon is 3 to 5 years. Blue Rock co-invests with other top US venture capital funds. In some instances, Blue Rock leads investment syndicates and may also participate in financings led by other investors. The Fund holds between 25 and 30 companies in its portfolio.
