Thomas L.
Whiting has been President and Chief Operating Officer of DENTSPLY International, Inc. since January 1, 2004.
Prior thereto, he has been Executive Vice President since November, 2002.
He joined DENTSPLY in March 1987 as Vice President and General Manager of the L.
D.
Caulk Division, a position he held until 1995.
Following several successful years at Caulk, he was promoted to Senior Vice President in July 1994.
Prior to that time, he held management positions with Deseret Medical and the Parke-Davis Company.
During the past eight years, he has been a valuable contributor to DENTSPLY's strategic planning and overall direction.
He graduated with a BS degree in biology/science from Ferris State University in Michigan.
