Mr. Aaron M.
Bennett, CFA MBA, is a Managing Director of Sustainable Investment Strategy & Research at Jarislowsky, Fraser Ltd.
He joined the firm in 2014 and has more than 16 years of investment experience.
Mr. Bennett is committed to supporting the continuous improvement of systemic and robust integration of material ESG factors into the investment analysis across all portfolios and asset classes.
In addition, he is tasked with advising and supporting the Investment Strategy Committee in broader policy formulation and implementation.
Aaron is also a member of the firm’s Sustainable Investment Committee, and helps support the coordination of sustainable investing activities and the development of ESG tools across the firm.
Prior to joining Jarislowsky Fraser, Mr. Aaron Bennett worked for the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in a variety of related roles for the Natural Resources sector, including the co-management of a private energy and timberland portfolio.
He also served on the boards of many private investee companies in the energy space and was a founding and active member of the organization’s Responsible Investing Committee.
Mr. Bennett also worked for a number of mid-sized Canadian boutique investment banks as an Equity Research Analyst covering Health Care and Biotechnology.
He was a member of the Advisory Committee for the PRI-coordinated collaborative global engagement on methane ?risk and the Responsible Investment Association’s Toronto Steering Committee.
Aaron currently sits on the Advisory Board of the Embedding Project and the Environmental & Social Committee of the CCGG.
Mr. Bennett holds a BSc Honors in Biology from the Queen’s University and an MBA from Western University (Ivey School of Business) and is a CFA charter holder.
