April Bailey

April Bailey joined BIOCOM in January of 1999.
In her position as Director of Government and Public Affairs she oversees the public policy program and political action committee, as well as the communications department of the organization.
In this capacity she is responsible for advocacy efforts on local, state and federal policy issues related to business issues impacting the California life science industry.
Additionally, she manages the production of BIOCOM's online newsletter, Biocommunique, and the quarterly magazine, Lifelines.
Prior to joining BIOCOM, April worked in the Washington D.C.
office of Congresswoman Nancy Johnson in the United States House of Representatives.
Bailey earned her bachelors degree in political science from San Diego State University and is currently a candidate for her MPP at San Diego State University.
