Bob E. Curry

Prior to joining ATV in July 2002, Dr. Curry served as both a general and a venture partner at Sprout Group, a venture capital affiliate of Credit Suisse First Boston, where he originated the life sciences investment activity.
Dr. Curry joined Sprout in 1991 as a General Partner when Sprout assumed management of two public venture capital funds originated by Merrill Lynch & Company, Inc. Dr. Curry continues to work with Sprout as a consultant.
Previously, Dr. Curry worked for Merrill Lynch serving in various capacities with Merrill Lynch R&D Management Inc. and Merrill Lynch Venture Capital Inc., including serving as President of both organizations from January 1990 to May 1991.
Dr. Curry's previous roles included Vice President of Becton Dickinson & Company and General Manager of Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc.'s Diagnostic Systems Division.
Dr. Curry currently serves as a director of Aperon Biosystems, Emerald BioAgriculture, GenOptix, Pathology Partners, and TriPath Imaging.
He also is serving as a director and CEO of Sensys Medical.
In the public service sector, Dr. Curry is Chairman of the Board of the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences (KGI) at the Claremont Colleges in Southern California.
KGI trains managers and leaders for the biotechnology industry.
Dr. Curry received his M.S.
and Ph.D.
in Chemistry from Purdue University and has been recognized as a Smith Kline Fellow.
