Ichirota Kato

Mr. Ichirota Kato is Founder Executive Adviser at IDERA Capital Management Ltd. He founded MK Capital Management Corporation ("MKCM") in September 2001 with an aim to provide international and domestic investors with high quality asset management services, and led the firm to successful IPO at the Tokyo Stock Exchange "Mothers" section in March 2006.
As of November 2012, Mr. Kato resigned from President, and remains as Director and Founder.
As of June, 2013, Mr. Kato resigned from Director.
Mr. Kato has over 25 years of real estate asset management related experience, and is one of the most experienced real estate executives in Japanese market.
Prior to establishing MKCM, he worked for daVinci Advisors as the Chief Investment Officer, and served as a member of Board of Directors for 2 years.
He set up daVinci's management platform during the start-up period of the firm, and the firm building on such strong foundation had become one of the leading asset and fund management companies in Japan until recently.
Prior to daVinci Advisors, he spent 9 years from 1989 to 1998 at Tosei-Shoji Corporation as Executive Vice President.
Mr. Kato received a B.S in Economics from Keio University.
