Prior to founding Pearl Street in 2000, Mr. Makansi served as Director - Power Generation for Myplant.com, a division of Honeywell.
While with Myplant.com, his responsibilities included business development, sales, content marketing and staff development.
Prior to that, Mr. Makansi served as Editor-in-Chief of Power and Electric Power International magazines.
During his 18-year tenure with the McGraw Hill Companies, he researched and analyzed virtually every aspect of the global electricity production and delivery value chain.
In 2002, Mr. Makansi authored "An Investor's Guide to the Electricity Economy," which was published by John Wiley & Sons.
Mr. Makansi holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.
