Mr. Jim Goren, CFA MBA, is Managing Director & Senior Portfolio Manager at DaVinci Capital Partners, Inc. He specializes in opportunities in the Materials and Technology sectors as well as advising on private debt, hedge funds and real estate strategies.
He has accumulated over 23 years of international experience in corporate finance and capital markets including assignments in the US, UK, Russia and the Ukraine.
He is also Co-Founder of the firm.
Prior to co-founding DaVinci, Mr. Goren co-founded Marconi Ventures, a USD 100 million venture capital fund based in Boston, Massachusetts with Marconi Communications, a global telecom equipment vendor.
At Marconi Ventures, he identified and led private equity investments in a number of emerging technology companies in North America and Europe.
He has also served as a Senior Financial Executive for several leading firms in the telecommunications, technology and oil and gas sectors, including various positions as a Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Goren received his Masters of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 1990; his professional accounting designation in 1996; and his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2001.
He is a member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts and CFA Institute.
