Ken Morse

Mr. Ken Morse is on the Board of Directors at Cogito Corp.
Mr. Ken Morse is a Member at CommonAngels, Inc. He joined MIT in 1996 after 25 years as a serial entrepreneur helping launch six ventures with colleagues from MIT.
In 1980, after eight years of running a trading company in China, he moved to Silicon Valley to help start 3Com Corporation where he was employee #8, serving as their first head of sales, marketing, and planning.
After the initial launch, he returned to the Boston area and was a founder of several other MIT-related startup ventures including Aspen Technology, Inc. and Applied Expert Systems.
Between 1982 and 1996, he held a number of key sales and management positions at AspenTech, which commercialized process engineering modeling software originally developed at MIT.
He crafted the company's global strategy, served on the board of directors, and ran the operation in Europe, Middle East and Africa, living in Brussels for four years.
The company went public in 1994 and grew to 1,200 employees worldwide, with revenues exceeding $200 million.
Mr. Morse serves on the Board of Directors of NeuMath, Inc. in Haverhill, MA and the Board of Advisors of Meridio Ltd. and Lagan in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
He is also an advisor to several Venture Capital Funds in Europe and Waterloo, Ontario.
When he is not helping startups, Mr. Morse and his family enjoy sailing their 50-year old wooden boat around Woods Hole.
Mr. Morse graduated with a BS in Political Science in 1968.
He received an MBA with honors from HBS in 1972.
