Laura Seifert

Laura was born in the US, grew up in Germany and moved to Switzerland as a teenager.
She studied in Hamburg, London and Paris, obtained her PhD in Finance at the University of St. Gallen and conducted research at Columbia University, New York.
Her global experience ensures that Laura always brings a broad perspective to her work in VC.
She first worked in venture capital during an internship with e.ventures in 2009, when the German start-up landscape was still in its early days.
She took a break to pursue other endeavors, gaining work experience in finance and starting a business.
During this time, Laura worked at J.P.
Morgan on various corporate finance transactions – mostly across TMT and consumer industries, including IPOs, financings, buy- and sell-side mandates.
Moving on, Laura co-founded WeSpace, the first work and community space designed for female professionals in the DACH region, for which she earned Forbes "30 Under 30" recognition.
At HV, Laura focuses on early stage investments in the DACH region.
In venture capital, Laura states money is not the differentiating factor, but rather the people who are behind the money.
Partnering with seasoned investors is key - particularly when developing large, sustainable companies.
Laura brings a wealth of entrepreneurial, operational and financing experience to her role.
She has worked alongside respective Investment Managers on Kiveda, Matterway and Lingokids.
