Ms. Loren A.
Compton-Williams is Associate Director of Research at Herndon Capital Management LLC.
She is responsible for managing the strategic direction of global research analysis provided to the portfolio managers through the Research Team.
She is also the lead analyst for the Financial Services sector for the firm’s Large Cap Value Equity, Large Cap Growth Equity, Large Cap Core Equity, Mid Cap Value Equity, Mid Cap Growth Equity and Large Cap Core International strategies.
Prior to joining Herndon Capital Management in 2012, Ms. Compton-Williams worked with a boutique firm, as an investment advisor to endowments and foundations, with a focus on emerging and frontier markets for real assets, public and private investments.
She was responsible for sourcing, identifying, evaluating and monitoring fund managers.
From 2008 to 2009, she was a Vice President at J.P.
Morgan where she advised large corporate and financial services clients on short-term investment strategies.
From 2001 to 2007, she was a Vice President and Equity Research Analyst at Goldman Sachs Asset Management for the U.S.
Active Equity Value investment team.
In her role as a member of the portfolio management team, she was responsible for analyzing, identifying, recommending and directly investing in publicly traded U.S.
equity securities in the Financial Services, Energy and Basic Materials sectors.
She graduated cum laude and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Spelman College and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
