Nurit Eyal

Dr. Nurit Eyal has joined the Life Sciences team of the Yozma Group in October 2001.
Dr. Eyal brings to Yozma more than 10 years of experience in the Biotechnology and Biopharmaceutical industries in the disciplines of research, academia, general management, entrepreneurship, private equity and venture capital investing.
Since 1998 Dr. Eyal served as the Head of Biotechnology Investments of Pamot, a private investment fund that invests primarily in projects emanating from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.
In this capacity Dr. Eyal has been responsible for the investment decisions in the biotechnology area and served on the Board of Directors of portfolio companies.
From 1992 to 1997, Dr. Eyal founded and managed GamidaGen, a privately held biotechnology company that develops and sells molecular based diagnostic kits for genetic inherited disorders.
Dr. Eyal also led the company's R&D, transfer of products from development stage to production and the establishment of a clinical trials system as well as negotiating worldwide marketing agreements and collaboration with strategic partners.
Dr. Eyal earned her Ph.D.
at Department of Chemical Immunology of the Weizmann Institute of Science.
Her Ph.D.
thesis covered Isolation of Mutated Human Glucocerebrosidase Genes, and developing a diagnostic technique for the Detection and Overexpression of Glucocerebrosidase in Mammalian Cells.
Dr. Eyal has an M.Sc at Department of Genetics, Faculty of Agriculture, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and her thesis covered Actin DNA Sequences in Tomato, Isolation Genomic Library and Expression in Different Tissues.
Dr. Eyal has B.Sc from Department of Genetics, Faculty of Agriculture, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
