Robert Todd Powell

Mr. Bob Powell is Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel at Foros Securities LLC.
He has several years of experience working on a broad array of investment and financing transactions across many industries, including experience structuring and negotiating principal investments and M&A transactions involving complex capital structures.
Prior to joining Foros, he was a Managing Director and Counsel for AIG Financial Products Corp.
where he worked for twelve years in the principal investments and structured financing groups, with a recent focus on the energy sector.
His notable recent transactions include participating as an equity investor in the leveraged buyout of Kinder Morgan, Inc., providing high-yield debt financing for the leveraged acquisition of 27 power plants from The El Paso Corporation, the restructuring and sale of two of these plants, private investments in oil and gas production, financing for the first sale of carbon credits under the World Bank Umbrella Carbon Facility and financing of an investment in a private equity hedge fund complex.
Prior to joining AIG in 1997, Mr. Bob Powell was an attorney with Davis Polk & Wardwell, where he advised on a wide range of M&A, securities and lending/work-out transactions, with particular depth in the area of highly leveraged and cross-border transactions.
Mr. Bob Powell graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1989, and earned a B.S.
in Computer Science from the University of Kansas in 1986.
