SAAMCo seeks to achieve long-term total return by investing in a combination of commodity-linked derivative instruments, including commodity futures, swaps, options and options on futures. These investments provide exposure to the return of real assets that trade in the commodities markets without direct investment in physical commodities. Real assets include industrial and precious metals, gas, oil, livestock, agricultural or meat products, among others.

HIMCO manages investment portfolios using a balanced top-down, bottom-up investment process, with multiple levels of investment input, within a governance framework that is designed to ensure thematic consistency. They offer a wide range of asset classes and manage fixed income and alternative investment strategies. The Investment Strategy Committee (ISC) has overall responsibility for all aspects of the investment process.

Cazenovia Creek Investment Management offers a variety of investment vehicles and separate accounts in the structured products area which include commercial mortgages, residential mortgages, collateralized debt obligations, tax liens, real estate investments, corporate debt and equity and derivatives. In general, these strategies are made available to qualified individuals and accredited investors. Cazenovia Creek manages individual accounts and fund strategies that are customized to meet each investor's needs. Cazenovia Creek seeks to serve the needs of qualified investors and institutions seeking to gain exposure to difficult to access investments that offer compelling returns as compared to the more liquid, on-the-run markets within the structured products and fixed-income markets. Cazenovia Creek seeks to achieve the investment goals of their clients primarily through investing in fixed-income securities and loans with strong cash flow and yield characteristics. The firm generally acquires fixed income securities assets and/or loans which range in size from $500,000 to $15 million which, in many instances, have sophisticated structures. These securities, assets and loans typically trade at a discount to instruments which are otherwise equivalent in maturity, yield and creditworthiness. These securities, assets and loans provide attractive yields and have the potential to generate above average returns. Cazenovia Creek also employs a variety of hedging techniques to mitigate interest rate and credit risk driven by client defined investment objectives. They utilize a variety of fundamental and technical analysis techniques to analyze the current macro market environment as well as security specific fundamental credit risk analysis, and technology driven methodologies to formulate their investment advice.
