Simon Gresham

Mr. Simon R.
Gresham is a Co-Chief Investment Officer at MFS Institutional Advisors Inc. In his role, he partners with the firm's other regional co-CIOs in the research management process and strategy discussions, including developing investment policies and programs that achieve the investment objectives of MFS and its clients.
He is based in Sydney.
Mr. Gresham joined the firm in 2008 as an equity research analyst and became director of equity for Asia in 2013.
He then became co-CIO of equity for Asia in 2020 before assuming his current role in 2020.
Before joining the firm, he was a managing director at Merrill Lynch Australia, where he served for nine years as head of institutional sales and as an equity research analyst covering both Australia and Asia.
He previously served as treasurer and investor relations manager at Fletcher Challenge Limited (in Canada and New Zealand) for five years and spent one year as an equity analyst at McIntosh Baring Securities.
He worked for five years as an economist at the New Zealand Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and a postgraduate diploma in Development Studies in finance from Massey University of New Zealand.
