The Jamaican Bar Association (JAMBAR) is a voluntary organization for attorneys-at-law, incorporated as a company limited by guarantee since January 16, 1973. The company is based in Kingston, Jamaica. It represents both barristers and solicitors and includes practicing attorneys as well as affiliate members such as law students. JAMBAR’s mission centers on promoting the integrity and good name of the legal profession, upholding the rule of law and human rights, safeguarding judicial and legal independence, fostering legal reform, and providing continuing legal education and professional development.
