BDCA Venture Adviser manages BDCA Venture, Inc., a business development company (BDC) that specializes in making pre-IPO investments in emerging growth companies that are committed to and capable of becoming public. They provide their investors with the ability to participate in a unique fund that allows their stockholders to share in the potential value accretion BDCA Venture Adviser believes typically occurs once a company completes an IPO (a private to public valuation arbitrage). The firm seeks to investment objective is to maximize capital appreciation, which we seek to achieve through equity investments in later stage, pre-IPO companies. They target a 2x return over an anticipated 4-year holding period.
