Latin America Enterprise Fund Managers LLC invests via Colombian Investment In Hydrocarbons Fund which invests in hydrocarbon exploration and production projects in association with specialized operators in Colombia. The firm takes part in joint ventures with specialized operators who have contracts with the National Hydrocarbons Agency and/or with Ecopetrol for national blocks & that are interested in exploring and developing these blocks with a financial partner. It finances seismic surveys and/or the drilling of an exploratory well in identified prospects & if successful, it continues to drill several delimitation wells and development wells depending on the size of the deposit, as well as, building the production facilities to obtain the production benefits. It takes up minority interest positions. The firm also invests via the Forestry Colombian Investment Fund which invests in Colombian commercial forestry plantation projects in association with specialized operators and landowners. The firm doesn't invest in companies. The projects to be developed must have proven technological packages, should be located in regions suitable for forestry production & have close proximity to already established forestry nuclei, major roads and markets. It makes a maximum investment of up to $8 million per project. It takes up minority and majority interest positions.
