Ardavan Mobasheri

Dr. Ardavan Mobasheri, CFA, is a Strategic Advisor at Acima Private Wealth LLC.
He is overseeing ACIMA’s economic strategy and asset allocation process.
He works directly with clients to develop and implement innovative investment strategies.
Prior to joining ACIMA, Dr. Mobasheri was a Senior Managing Director and Chief Economist at the American International Group (AIG), where he founded and led the company’s global macroeconomic research efforts.
He has over 25 years of experience in financial markets and economic analysis, first, in equity portfolio management at Sanford C.
Bernstein, and later, in macroeconomic and financial market research and trading at Bear, Stearns.
From 2004 to 2007 he was Senior Economist and head of Macro Strategy at Bear Stearns Asset Management.
Dr. Mobasheri has also advised numerous corporate boards and executive groups and organizations over the years in various topics such as corporate strategy, emerging markets, investments and data analytics.
He pursued his doctoral studies in economics at the Graduate Center-City University of New York, holds an M.A. in economics from Queens College, an M.S.
in financial engineering from New York University, as well as a B.S.
in industrial engineering from Lehigh University.
He has over fifteen years of experience lecturing in economics, finance, and management at Fairfield University, Seton Hall University, the City University of New York and most recently at the University of Richmond.
